I am interested in the Oxford County sheriff’s election for several reasons. First and foremost is the fact that Chief Wayne Gallant, a candidate for that office, is a good citizen and also a gentleman. I have been a law enforcement officer for a number of years and have had the pleasure to be associated with Chief Gallant.
I have been involved in several joint task forces, criminal investigations and undercover operations with Chief Gallant. He is dedicated to his chosen profession and is a knowledgeable law enforcement officer, along with being a proven manager of public funds.
Managing public monies is not something learned on the job in a few months. It takes years of work experience to understand the complexities of managing a publicly funded law enforcement organization.
Chief Wayne Gallant has the proven capabilities to be the next sheriff for Oxford County.
