POLAND – The wedding of Elaine G. Carrier and Ronald P. Biron was held at 6 p.m. on April 7 at Poland Community Church. The Rev. Raymond Richard officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Biron is the daughter of Therese Goulet of Auburn and the late Raymond Goulet. Mr. Biron is the son of Doris Biron of Auburn and the late Normand Biron.
The bride, given in marriage by her son, Tony Carrier, wore a long champagne-colored satin gown in A-line style with short train, pink embroidered roses on the bodice and sage green embroidered leaves accented with pearls and sequins. She carried a small Bible used by her mother-in-law at her wedding, over another Bible given to the couple, covered by a cascade of pink and beige roses with trailing ivy. She wore a dainty pink pearl and rhinestone tiara in her hair.
The daughter of the bride, Celeste Carrier, was maid of honor, and Joey Biron, son of the bridegroom, served as best man. Ushers were John Torrey, boyfriend of the bride’s daughter, and Tony Carrier, son of the bride.
Usherette Maria Pete, daughter of the bridegroom, escorted her grandmother to her seat and usher John Torrey ushered the bride’s mother to her seat.
A reception followed at the Korn Haus Keller Restaurant in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Jamaica. They are residing in Lewiston.
The bride is a 1972 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 1973 graduate of Mr. Bernard’s School of Hair Fashion. She owns and operates Roy’s Beauty Salon in Auburn.
The bridegroom is a 1967 graduate of Edward Little High School and completed electrical courses in 1972 and basic machine tooling from Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute in 1980. He is employed at General Electric in Auburn.
