FARMINGTON – An Avon man was arrested Sunday on a charge of threatening to kill his brother with a handgun, Detective Marc Bowering said Monday.
The officer said Farmington police got a call around 7:30 p.m. Sunday from the brother at his apartment on Bridge Street saying Justin Plog, 23, pulled a handgun on him and threatened to kill them both. The brother’s name was not released by police.
The caller escaped the apartment and phoned 911, Bowering said. By the time police arrived, Plog had left.
Deputy Mary Pratt and Cpl. Steven Charles of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department arrested him without incident at an Avon home and charged him with domestic assault and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, Bowering said.
Plog was released on $3,000 unsecured bail Sunday night. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 22, Bowering said.
