CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – The former School Board chairman in Derry has been indicted on charges he stole more than $45,000 from his former employer, and used thousands to buy porn and contribute to a church.
The attorney general’s office says 44-year-old Charles Hawkins, a former chief operating officer at National Aperture Inc., in Salem, misused a company credit card and wrote checks on the company account between 2001 and 2004.
He’s charged with using a company credit card for $16,000 internet porn and online dating and nearly $11,000 of other personal expenses.
He’s also accused of using company checks to donate nearly nine thousand dollars to a Derry church.
Hawkins resigned from the School Board last month for what were called personal reasons.
