PHILLIPS – Registrations are being accepted for the 15th annual scarecrow reunion to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

Although the posts are set up on Oct. 2 to accommodate a few who find it necessary to put them up early, participants are encouraged to wait until Friday.

Organizers Winona Davenport, Dana and Sharon Dudley said they would like the scarecrows to be at their best for the judging on Saturday.

It is necessary to register in advance. Forms are available at Phillips Hardware, Main Street, or at the sign board at the field on Main Street.

Categories are: adults, child or children, family and group. Registration fee is $5, which covers the expense of ribbons and cash prizes for the first-place winners in each category. Any money above and beyond is turned over to the Phillips Conservation Commission.
