LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Sept. 11 with 40 members present. Prior to the meeting a casserole meal was served with food supplied by the members.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces. Mary Groleau led in singing “Let There Be Peace on Earth” in observance of the fifth anniversary of Sept. 11.

Welcomed back were Gail Lachance, Ann Sawyer, Joan Lauzier and Bill Chabot. The sick list included Emile Richards and Peggy McDonald. Peggy Green was a guest.

The monthly meal from SeniorsPlus will be served on Sept. 25 and Couture reminded members of the beano game on that day.

Members sang “Happy Birthday” to those who have birthdays in June, July and August. The 50-50 was won by Lorraine Cote. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
