DOVER, N.H. (AP) – The man known as the “real estate rapist” has appealed his conviction to New Hampshire’s Supreme Court, challenging evidence in his trial and asking whether the state has a right to impose consecutive sentences.

Oliver Hooper, 35, was convicted in May of raping a 19-year-old Dover woman in her home after posing as a potential home buyer.

The appeal argues there was no DNA, blood, hair or other tissue evidence connecting Hooper to the woman, and that there was evidence of contact from another person that was not introduced at trial.

Hooper is serving a 50-to-100-year sentence in state prison.
