LEWISTON – James Barron has named as Rainbow Federal Credit Union’s chief financial officer.

Barron joined Rainbow Federal Credit Union in 2004 as Rainbow’s accounting manager. Prior to that, he was employed by Taconnet FCU in Winslow, where he functioned as the bookkeeper for more than four years. He holds an associate degree in accounting from Kennebec Valley Community College and a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Maine at Augusta. He is working toward his MBA at Thomas College.
