LEWISTON – Employee training programs are available through Lewiston Adult Education.

A number of classes are scheduled to begin throughout October and November designed to build skills for local workers. Classes will be held at Lewiston High School.

“Developing Supervisory Skills” is a four-workshop series to be taught by Carol Albert from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Oct. 4.

Excel and PowerPoint programs will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. Lunch will be included as part of the registration fee.

“MS Access” take place Tuesdays beginning Oct. 24. The seven-week program will provide instruction in designing and using databases.

“QuickBooks 1” will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The five-week course will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. The course will provide accounting staff with the basics of bookkeeping for a small business. Topics will includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing and monthly reconciliation.

Also on Nov. 1, registrants can begin a seven-week program on “Setting Up a PC Home Network.”
