PARIS – Michael Dailey now has the title of lieutenant in the Paris Police Department.
The former sergeant was promoted this week because of his job performance, said police Chief David Verrier. Dailey has been with the department for eight years. Along with the title change comes a pay increase, Verrier said.
Dailey said in his time with the department he has been able to establish a strong rapport with the community and local agencies that the department works with.
“I feel good about it,” Dailey said. “The town has been good to me.”
He said he also prides himself on becoming an accident reconstructionist with the department. There are not many in the county.
Before coming to the Paris Police Department, Dailey worked part-time for the Norway and Bethel departments.
