JAY – Brianna Tupper notched the game-winning goal from the top of the circle two minutes into double overtime to lift Winthrop to a 2-1 victory over Jay in MVC field hockey action Monday.

The Tigers (6-4-1) got on the board first on a Katie Nemi blast. Brittany Gaudet answered for Winthrop.

Sara Giampetro faced only two shots in net for the Ramblers (7-3-1). The Tigers’ Brenda Allen made seven saves.

Lisbon 3, Hall-Dale 1

FARMINGDALE – Kelsey LeGloahec scored two goals, including the game-winner, as Lisbon buttoned down a 3-1 field hockey win over Hall-Dale on Monday.

LeGloahec’s second goal came with 28 minutes remaining in the contest.

Mtn. Valley 2, Dirigo 0

DIXFIELD – Lauren Lepage and Shawnee Akers each found the back of the net as Mountain Valley topped Dirigo 2-0 in MVC field hockey action Monday afternoon.

Lepage picked up a feed from Sarah Martin and popped a shot into the corner past Dirigo netminder Dani Thompkins.

Akers contributed an insurance goal in the second half, driving the ball in from the top of the circle.

Kim Clark registered seven saves for the Falcons (4-4-2); Thompkins stopped eight.

Girls’ Soccer
NYA 2, St. Dom’s 0

YARMOUTH – Courtney Dumont tallied back-to-back goals in the second half to give North Yarmouth Academy a 2-0 win over St. Dom’s.

Dumont scored her first goal after the ball hit the post and spiraled into the net.

Her insurance marker went in after a rebound from St. Dom’s keeper, Elise Applegate (19 saves).

Winslow 4, Oak Hill 1

WALES – Katie Caron scored a pair of goals to pace Winslow to a 4-1 victory over Oak Hill.

Becca Roberts scored the lone goal for the Raiders (3-6-1). Courtney Seguin stopped 14 shots for Oak Hill.

Boys’ Soccer
Lisbon 1, Dirigo 1 (2OT)

DIXFIELD – The Lisbon and Dirigo boys’ soccer teams drew to a 1-1 tie in a hard-fought battle Monday.

Nick Howe notched the Cougars’ goal in the 24th minute.

Lisbon countered with 13 minutes left on a shot from Marcus Bubar. Mike Call stopped 10 shots for Lisbon (3-5-2), while Josh Saphire made eight saves for Dirigo (7-3-2).

Winslow 4, Oak Hill 0

WINSLOW – Matt Farrell had a goal and three assists as Winslow rolled past Oak Hill 4-0 on Monday.

Josh Labonte, Derek Veilleux, and Marcos Arouz also scored for Winslow (7-2-2) in the win.

Carrabec 3, Winthrop 1

WINTHROP – Nic Manzer netted a pair of goals to lead Carrabec to a 3-1 victory over Winthrop on Monday.

Goalie Mike Gringras made 14 saves for Winthrop, while John Neill turned away 11 in net for Carrabec.

Mt. Abram 0, Liv. Falls 0 (2OT)

LIVERMORE FALLS – Double overtime proved fruitless as Mt. Abram and Livermore Falls drew to a 0-0 tie.

Mt. Abram’s Wyatt Johnson made eight saves, while Livermore Falls keeper Marcus Ryder registered 14 stops.
