WILTON – The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce held a Head for the Mountains! Fall Fun Run on Sept. 30 at the Bob Nichols Expo Center with more than 125 attending.

Fifty-plus motorcycles made the trip on the Poker Run from the Expo Center to Weld, Phillips, Rangeley, Stratton, Kingfield and Farmington, then back to Wilton. Prizes were awarded for Best Hand, Chris Kinney of Wilton; Next Best Hand, Rick Cormier of Peru; and Worst Hand, Bob Nichols of New Sharon.

Once back at the center, the riders warmed up with a hot beverage and strolled the aisles of vendors and crafters.

A bike show rounded out the afternoon with 23 entries being judged by attendees. Winning trophies were:

Touring: first, Gil Reed, Strong; second, Pam Poisson, Farmington.

Sport: Victory Motor Sports, Abbott; Ken Nivison, South China.

Trike/sidecar: Wayne and Vicki Varney, Windham; Mason Rowe, New Vineyard.

Cruiser: Dick Belisle, Winslow; Lorna Nichols, New Sharon.

Custom: Kathy Belisle, Winslow; Grid Iron Motors, P. Gagne, bike owner, Industry.

Vintage: Tom Fiske, Lincoln; Bayne Smith, Wilton.

Best of Show: Duane Vigue, Washington.

The day was also highlighted with many door prizes as well as a 50/50 raffle won by Bill True of Norridgewock. Borderline Express of Skowhegan provided music from 6 to 10 p.m.
