It appears we’ve upset the delicate water-scum balance in our fish tank.

A good-hearted attempt to clean the brownish sludge on the sides of the glass has resulted in our cloudiest water to date. On Wednesday, Littles that swam more than 3 inches from the outer glass literally couldn’t be seen, lost in some sort of fishy fog.

Quick, regular glances at the top of the tank revealed no more had perished. As soon as a new bucket of water warms to room temperature, it’s out with the old.
