AUBURN – The deadline for making name suggestions for the new Park Avenue elementary school is Oct. 23, less than a week away.

People with ideas can submit them online or through the mail.

Those making suggestions should feel free to include any historical information or memorable stories to support the names.

Students and Auburn residents can vote on names in an election to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 at the school.

Before the election students will “campaign” for their classroom’s top choice. After a classroom votes on its candidate, a student convention will be held to pick the top three choices, Principal Vickie Gaylord has said.
