On Tuesday afternoon, Maine’s five real gubernatorial candidates participated in a debate at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. The event was streamed live on the Internet, the video feed allowing Web surfers to watch the candidates open, and close, their mouths in rapid succession.
Sunjournal.com’s been way ahead of the curve on this. In our online aquarium, Web surfers have been watching gubernatorial candidates’ fishy representations open and close their mouths for weeks. It now seems life is finally imitating our political goldfish tank.
To highlight water quality issues with the Androscoggin River, the Sun Journal plunked five goldfish in a tank of water from the Andy and named them after the candidates for governor – the people with the power to make change.
