AUGUSTA – Paul R. Dionne of Lewiston was recently elected president of the International Association of Industrial Accidents Boards and Commissions at its 92nd annual convention in Little Rock, Ark.

Dionne was appointed by the governor to serve as chairman of the Maine Workers’ Compensation Board, and is a member of the governor’s cabinet. He is also a former Lewiston mayor.

The IAIABC is a non-profit, non-partisan association representing most of the United States and Canadian provinces and other nations and territories. Its mission is to advance the administration of workers’ compensation systems throughout the world through education, research and information sharing.
