RUMFORD – The next community networking meeting sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition is scheduled for noon, Oct. 24, at Scrappers DoMaine, Canal Street. Those attending may bring their own lunch.

Diane Mitchell from the River Valley Unit of the American Cancer Society will speak about the group’s recent trip to Washington, D.C. As part of the society’s Cancer Action Network, the group was instrumental in the reauthorization of the Breast and Cervical Health Program.

There will also be updates on other local organizations’ community activities, including programs of the Healthy Communities.
