Farmington society plans wreath sales
FARMINGTON – The Farmington Historical Society will again offer holiday wreaths for sale to benefit the restoration of the North Church. “With last year’s proceeds, we were able to pay for the architect who has drafted plans. Thanks to everyone who supported this event,” said Taffy Davis, sale organizer.
The 24-inch wreaths are decorated with a seven-loop red bow, pine cones and red berries. “People were very happy with the quality of the wreath sold last year,” said Davis. “I’ve had people all year long ask me if we were going to be selling wreaths again and that they wanted to order more than they did last year. We decorated 300 wreaths and sold out. Wreaths were also shipped to 10 other states, including Florida and Arizona.”
Wreaths may be pre-ordered if paid for by Nov. 1 at $18 each. They will be $19 each after Nov. 1. Wreaths can be picked up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Nov. 25 and Dec. 2, Chester Greenwood Day, at the Titcomb House, Academy Street, adjacent to the public library.
They can also be picked up from Nov. 25 until Dec. 9 at Heirlooms of Tomorrow, Wilton Road, during business hours. Shipping is also available for $12 each in the continental U.S.
To place an order, mail payment with name, address and phone number to Taffy Davis, 239 Titcomb Hill Rd, Farmington, ME 04938. For more information, contact Davis at 778-4275 or Dan Maxham at 778-2006.
