GORHAM – Alexis R.D. Handy of Lewiston will appear in this weekend’s performances of the “Titanic: The Musical,” presented by the University of Southern Maine School of Music.

Handy, a 2004 graduate of Lewiston High School, will play the role of Kate Mullins, a young Irish woman who is a third-class passenger aboard the ill-fated ocean liner.

Handy is a junior at USM, where she is majoring in music theater. She is the daughter of Jim and Sharon Handy of Lewiston.

“Titanic: The Musical” will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27 and 28, and at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at Corthell Concert Hall on the Gorham campus. For more information and ticket reservations, call the music box office at 780-5555.
