AUBURN – Police are advising that more than 500 ornately carved pumpkins will tie up traffic in parts of the city over the weekend.
Traffic in some areas around Gracelawn Avenue will be rerouted Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights to make way for the yearly Parade of Jack-O-Lanterns.
The northbound section of Turner Street at Mount Auburn Avenue will be closed to through traffic between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. on those nights.
Gracelawn Avenue at Mount Auburn Avenue will also be closed to make way for vehicle occupants arriving to view the display.
Police said those who are trying to make their way to the event can use King’s Row, near the Auburn Mall, where traffic will be shifted to the left lane.
