Sunday discussion
BOWDOIN – The Bowdoin Historical Society will host its annual Community Days discussion at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at FHC Inc. on Main Street. Jim Moulton will moderate the meeting with a theme of the “Good Ol’ Days in Bowdoin.” The public is welcome to attend and share memories of Bowdoin and surrounding areas. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
Chapter meeting
LEWISTON – The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52, Association Canado-Americaine, will gather at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center.

Art club speakers
AUBURN – The Auburn Art Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at the High Street Congregational Church.
Stanton Bird Club President Susan Hayward and Tom Robustelli, board member, will review the history of the club and project into the future of the Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary in Lewiston. Hostesses will be Avis Grant, Jane Linnell, Dorothy Prince and Joan Libby.
Veterans visit
GREENE – Veterans of World War II will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the Meadows Senior Living Center for entertainment, conversation and camaraderie.
Music of the era will kick off the afternoon and a buffet will be provided. All World War II veterans are invited. For more information, call 946-3007.
Membership meet
AUBURN – The National Association of Insurance Women-Androscoggin Valley will meet Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Martindale Country Club, Beech Hill Road.
The meeting will begin with a social hour at 5: p.m. and dinner at 5:45. It is the annual membership meeting and will contain a “Meet the Members” program. Guests are welcome. The Maine Council director will give tidings from NAIW National and the Maine Council.
The National Association of Insurance Women (International) is an association of insurance professionals dedicated to the development of leaders in the insurance industry.

Tables available
LITCHFIELD – St. Leo’s Catholic Church is having its Christmas craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 18. There are a few tables available for rent at $10. For more information, contact Lori Larrabee at 268-4205.
