CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – St. Paul’s School has accepted responsibility for a student’s drowning in the school swimming pool two years ago and has settled a lawsuit filed by the student’s family.
Trial on the negligence lawsuit involving the death of Clifford Nyquist of New Boston, 15, was scheduled to begin Monday. St. Paul’s and Nyquist’s parents settled last week. St. Paul’s released a statement announcing the agreement.
Neither the school nor the Nyquists would say if there was any financial settlement.
The school also said it has new safety measures at the pool.
