GREENE – Androscoggin Grange 8 participated in the Greene Village Celebration and held its sixth annual Mr. Legs contest recently.

Eric Smith, owner of EJ’s Drywall, was crowned the winner, and Ron Miller, owner of Ron’s Barber Shop, came in second.

A new event this year was the Ms. Legs contest, which was won by Cindy Morin, owner of Little Dreamers Daycare. Lauriane Laliberte was second and her mother, Rebecca Laliberte, owner of the Meadows in Greene, took third.

More than $1,000 was raised from the events to benefit the grange.

Other activities included the cow flop bingo. Bozo from the Bates Farm did the honors. Winner of the $300 prize was Clayton Bubier.

The Androscoggin Grange 8 is fundraising to make renovations, to update the hall and to install a lift for the elderly to access the upstairs main hall. Those wishing to make a donation may mail it to Androscoggin Grange 8, Carol Buzzell, 15 Claybrook Drive, Greene, ME 04236.
