LEWISTON – A Caregivers’ Celebration, sponsored by SeniorsPlus, will take place Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Ramada Inn. Caregivers are invited to attend a day of fun, education and food.
Special guests will include Karen Baldacci; John Nale of Nale Law Offices presenting information about living wills, powers of attorney, estate recovery and financial concerns; Randy Judkins, motivational speaker, trainer and performer; Liz Weaver, program director, Alzheimer’s Association; Pam Allen, executive director, SeniorsPlus; and Diane Jackson, regional representative for Sen. Olympia Snowe.
There will also educational activities, such as hunting tips with L.L. Bean, golf putting contest by Martindale Country Club, manicure and massage by Sarah Jeanne’s Salon, hair poofing by Diverse Hair Designs, scrapbooking with Memory Lane, and information about St. Mary’s Center for Senior Medicine, Ombudsman Program, Alzheimer’s Association, SeniorsPlus.
A raffle will be held for a chance to win a gift basket or fall flower arrangement. It is an annual event to recognize caregivers for all they do to keep their loved ones at home for as long as possible.
