AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the United Methodist Church of Auburn, 439 Park Ave., for the annual Thanksgiving dinner. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and dinner will be at noon.
There were 64 members present for the Oct. 25 meeting at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, with President Merry Strout presiding. Gerald Timberlake was welcomed back following an illness. Birthdays were acknowledged for October, November and December. There will be no meetings in November and December because of the holidays.
Names submitted for officers’ positions for 2007 are: treasurer, Irving Grant; recording secretary, Caroline Chapman; correspondence secretary, Aileen Harnden; chaplain, Patricia Donohue; floral committee, Frances Robitaille; and membership committee, Lucy Cowles.
A Halloween luncheon was prepared by Irving and Charlotte Grant. Elsie Whitney won the prize for the most original Halloween costume. Attendance prize winners were Adele Delmonico and Kaye Hewison; pot of gold, Lee Koss, Thelma Scanlon and Dodi Juneau. After the meeting and lunch, bingo was played.
