Church fair

MECHANIC FALLS – A holiday fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the First Congregational Church of Mechanic Falls. There will be crafts, wreaths, baskets, homebaked goods, candy, handiwork and white elephant items. Steamed hot dogs, homemade pie by the slice, coffee and punch will be available. Everyone is welcome.

Holiday fair

NEW GLOUCESTER – The vestry of the Congregational Church will be the site of a holiday fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.

Featured booths will offer stitchery raffles, candy, baked goods, handmade crafts and a special white elephant sale specializing in Christmas items and personal accessories.

Homemade chowder and soup will highlight the luncheon menu. The church adult choir will sell its new CD of favorite anthems and gospel numbers. There will also be an activity room for children open from 10 a.m. to noon.

The fair is being organized by members of the Women’s Evening Guild. The church is located at 19 Gloucester Hill Road, Lower Village. For more information, call 926-3260.

Country fair

POWNAL – The “Little Country Church Christmas Fair” will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road. It will feature crafts, decorations, baked and canned goods, knitted and sewn items, Mrs. Claus’ Attic, a treasure chest and silent auction.

Craft fair

TURNER – A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Turner Elementary School. Crafters from all over the state will be selling their wares.

There will be a $1 donation asked at the door. Prizes and crafts will be raffled off throughout the day, and there will be food and beverages served all day.

All door, raffle and food proceeds will go directly to the fund to build a new playground. Turner Elementary School is located at 91 Matthews Way. For more information, call the school at 225-3620.
