AUBURN – The New Auburn Seniors will hold a memorial service for deceased members of the past year at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at St. Louis Church, Dunn Street. All members are encouraged to attend. Following the service, a turkey dinner with all the fixings will be served at a cost of $3 for members only.

The regular meeting was held Nov. 1 with President Virginia Levasseur presiding. November birthdays were noted and small gifts were given. New members welcomed were Jeanne Berube, Jeanne Collette, Arthur Gauthier, Betty Bates, Marie Cote, Delores Ginn and Connie St. Pierre.

A toy drive by the Red Hatters will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, and members are invited.

Members are reminded that if there is no school in Auburn on a meeting day or dinner day, it will be held the next day instead. On open bingo days, it will not be held at all.

The Christmas dinner will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3, beginning at 11 a.m. with a social hour and dinner at noon. There will be drawings and entertainment following dinner. Tickets are to be bought Wednesday, Nov. 15, at a cost of $10 for members only, and 2006 dues must be paid.

A committee of three members was appointed to select officers for the new year. They are Marge Lizotte, Jeannette Roy and Lucille Pontbriand.

Trips available are Indian Head Christmas party Nov. 28 at a cost of $56 and there are still seats available and a Foxwoods trip on Dec. 5. Call Jean at 784-5264 for information.

Pot of gold winners were Rolande Ayotte, Kate Gauthier and Ralph Asselin.

The meeting adjourned and a light lunch was served. Bingo followed. Open bingo for seniors will be Wednesday, Nov. 8, 22 and 29.
