The St Dominic RHS Drama Society is out to set free the child within each audience member as it presents Clark Gesner’s classic musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
Witness an average day in the life of one of our most beloved comic strip characters, good ol’ Charlie Brown. It’s a day specially filled with all the nuances of Charlie Brown, from Valentine’s Day to the baseball season. Filled with vignettes and sketches based on the Charles M. Schultz comic strip, Peanuts, Charlie Brown is one of those simple, yet well-loved shows that entertains both kids and adults alike. Join the neurotic Charlie Brown (Adam Blais); narcissistic Lucy (Carla Henault); her intelligent, younger brother Linus (and his blue blanket) (Rich Lamarre); musically obsessed Schroeder (Doug Grant); outspoken Sally (Cathryn Skaleski); and of course, that irrepressible, yet lovable dog, Snoopy (Michael Girouard) with his little yellow sidekick, Woodstock (Chelsea Grant), as they share moments, from uncertain morning to hopeful starlit night.
Many other beloved characters join the cast to help fill out the talented ensemble. They include Pablo Barajas as the lovable Shermy; Dan Mason as the dusty PigPen; Linette Mailhot as the ever lady-like Violet; Kay Burns and Samantha Laverdiere as the inseperable duo of Peppermint Patty and Marcie; and Nick Fournier as the dog fanatical little brother of Lucy and Linus, Rerun vanPelt.
The show will take place on November 24 and 25, at 7 p.m., at St Dominic RHS, 121 Gracelawn Rd in Auburn. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
