PORTLAND – Kathleen Marie Dostie and Joseph Anura de Silva were married Aug. 26 at St. Joseph’s Church in Portland by the Rev. John Tokaz. A reception followed at the Eastland Park Hotel. The couple honeymooned in Italy.

The bride is daughter of David and Marie Dostie of Turner. The bridegroom is son of Lionel and Dianne de Silva of Merrimac, Mass.

The bride walked down the aisle with her father. She wore a champagne and ivory strapless dress and carried a bouquet of Sophie pink roses and ivory hydrangeas with her grandmother’s cameo attached to the handle.

The maid of honor was Brenda Quinn, and bridesmaids were Allyson Connolly, Tausha Moody, Lindy Briggette, Amy Dostie and Jennifer Snyder.

The best man was the bridegroom’s brother, Lionel de Silva, and groomsmen were Christopher Dostie, brother of the bride, Jay Sanzo and Joseph Glowa.

The bride is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School and the University of Southern Maine. She is employed as an account executive at Lapchick Baron, a full service advertising agency in Portland.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Pentucket High School in West Newbury, Mass., and St. Joseph’s College in Standish. He is owner of Natural Fitness, a personal training studio in Falmouth.

The couple resides in Windham with their dog, Deisel.
