ORONO – The University of Maine baseball coach Steve Trimper announced on Tuesday that he has received National Letters of Intent from seven student-athletes during the early signing period. In addition to Josh Jillson from Wales, Jarrett Lucas from Old Town also signed a letter of intent.

Carson Pillar, Jeremy Lopez, Kevin Mager, Kyle Slate, and Kevin Scanlan will also all be joining the baseball program in the fall of 2007.

Lucas, a 6-1, 185 pound utility pitcher from Old Town, Maine was named All-State in 2006 at Old Town High School and was selected to the Senior Showcase at Frozen Ropes.
