NORTH CONWAY (AP) – Some of the stores at Settlers’ Green Outlet Village had their best sales weekend ever over the Veterans Day holiday, says outlet center general manager Dot Seybold.

She said most stores beat their old records – which are usually set on the day after Thanksgiving.

She said Veterans Day has become a prime shopping weekend at the mall. She said often the weather is nice and people want to get away before holiday schedules make that harder. She said the closer it gets to Christmas, the fewer people come to the mall.

The 230,000-square-foot mall is home to 60 factory outlet retailers, the 200-room North Conway Grand Hotel and a sprinkling of residential condominiums.
