Rumford church planning fall fair

RUMFORD – The Rumford United Methodist Church women and men are preparing items for sale at the fall fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18.

Polly Farwell and Jean Barrington will serve coffee and homemade doughnuts or coffee cake. Naomi Robertson and Peggy Welch will be behind the baked foods counter, which this year will also include some lo-cal goodies. Mary Pulsifer will read stories to the children at 10 and 11 a.m.

Geneva Raymond will serve at the craft table, which will include dog and cat treats, as well as cloth books for children. Dee Holman will be in charge of the book table, which will include CDs, tapes and paperback books.

Al and Martha Hanington will be in charge of the Attic Treasures, displayed upstairs. A chicken-on-a-biscuit luncheon will be prepared by Nellie Burgess, serving to start at 11 a.m. Dot Wing will be in charge of the dining room.
