LOCKE MILLS – The Oxford County Educators Association-Retired meeting, previously scheduled for today, has been canceled due to the death of a member, June Sawicki.
Women’s lunch
PARIS – The Christian Women United will meet at the First Congregational Church on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Joe Perham of West Paris, and he will present Maine humor and Maine folk stories along with music. Those who have not been contacted and would like to make a reservation may contact Pearl Anderson at 743-5724.
Grange show
BRYANT POND – A Mock Hee-Haw show will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Franklin Grange 124, Main Street. Franklin Grange will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, followed by a luncheon at noon.
Holiday meal
WATERFORD – A community Thanksgiving dinner will be served at noon Thursday, Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day, at the North Waterford Congregational Church vestry. Roasted turkey and all the fixings will be served. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to bring a dish to share. The dinner is open to senior citizens, singles or families who would like to share a Thanksgiving meal. If interested in attending, contact the Rev. George Frobig at 693-6461.
Craft fair
BETHEL – A local craft and wares fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at the Bethel Inn Resort Conference Center, located off Main Street. For more information, call the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce at 824-2282.
