STANDISH – Jeremy D. Gervais, a 2006 graduate of Lewiston High School, attending St. Joseph’s College of Maine, will perform in a production of “Lend Me a Tenor,” a comedy by Ken Ludwig.

“Lend Me a Tenor” is the hilarious story of an Italian opera singer, Tito, who posses the ability to capture the hearts of everyone with his voice. Scheduled to sing at the Cleveland Opera House, chaos ensures as Max, played by Gervais, finds Tito dead and is then persuaded by his boss to fill in for the opera star.

Max, the shy and timid assistant, is called to find his self-confidence, on and off the opera stage.

Performances will be held on campus at the Alfond Hall Auditorium at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16, 17 and 18, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 18 and 19. General admission will be at the door.

The play is directed by Fran Page and produced by the Feeney Players of St. Joseph’s College of Maine.
