AUBURN – Daniel and Karen (DeeDee) Stearns of Auburn are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Jonathan Stearns of Durham, N.H., to Sara Hinnendael of Durham, N.H., daughter of Jay and Joanne Hinnendael of Warner, N.H.

Miss Hinnendael is a 1998 graduate of Kearsarge Regional High School and received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of New Hampshire in 2002. She received her master’s degree in education from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut in 2005 and is currently employed as a residence hall director at the University of New Hampshire.

Mr. Stearns is a 1999 graduate of Edward Little High School and received his bachelor’s degree in family studies from the University of New Hampshire in 2003. He received his master’s degree in education counseling from the University of New Hampshire in 2004 and is currently employed as a crisis intervention counselor at Henry Wilson Middle School in Farmington, N.H.

A May 26 wedding is planned in Durham, N.H.
