Students attending the Philip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon have an opportunity to learn in and out of the classroom. On Tuesday, November 7, I had the pleasure of interviewing our Guidance Councilor at PWS, Mrs. Brenda Thompson. Part of Mrs. Thompson’s job is also working with students through Peer Mediation. What is Peer Mediation? Mrs. Thompson explains it this way. “Kids help each other as “peers” to resolve their conflicts with school. It could be with bullying, or problems at home, or anything else that they are troubled about.” Mrs. Thompson enjoys working with students at PWS.
