STANDISH – Elbie Murphy led all scores with a career-high 26 points and added seven steals as St. Joseph’s earned a 64-41 win over the Unversity of Maine at Farmington Tuesday evening.

Chad Pulkkinen scored 11 points and Marcus Alexander finished with eight points for the Monks (2-1) win. The two teams traded baskets over the first few minutes of play, but after taking an 8-6 lead at 15:10, they never trailed again.

Isaac Hutchinson led Farmington (1-2) with 20 points and Matt St. John chipped in with seven.
