Thanksgiving is the time of year

that makes me want to shout and cheer.

I love the ham and turkey too,

and don’t forget the gravy goo.

As I fill my plate with meats,

I take a couple tiny beets.

Then I give my thanks and praise,

and thank God for the happy days.

“Good food, good meat,

thanks God… Let’s eat.”

After dinner it’s time for pie,

apple? pumpkin? They all apply.

I take my last delicious bite,

oh man, what an amazing night!
