NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A theology teacher at Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School is being honored for her dedication and creativity in teaching about the Holocaust.
Glenda McFadden also is affiliated with the Cohen Center for Holocaust Studies at Keene State College.
The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous will give her its top award for excellence in Holocaust education Nov. 28 in New York City.
The foundation says McFadden has educated herself about the Holocaust so she can explore its history and morality with her students.
The foundation was created in 1986 to provide financial assistance to non-Jews who risked their lives and the lives of their families to rescue Jews during the Holocaust.
It also runs a Holocaust education program for middle and high school teachers.
