Bridge winners

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 21 were: N/S, first, Lorry and Fred Letourneau; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Pat Smith and Shirley West; first in B, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.

Open house

LISBON FALLS – Lisbon Historical Society Archive Museum’s open house with author of Lisbon’s new book by Debra Colleen Daggett named “Images of America Lisbon.”

Fellowship meeting

LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship will meet on Monday, Dec. 4. The group meets at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street. The gathering begins for fellowship at 11:30 a.m. followed at noon with a pot luck lunch.

All interested widows in the area are invited to attend. The group meets the first Monday of each month unless a holiday. Then the meeting is the second Monday.

La Survivance

LEWISTON – La Survivance will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Multi-Purpose Center. Connie Lambert will conduct a sing-along of French Christmas carols. Refreshments will be provided by the officers and door prizes will be drawn. Members are encouraged to attend.

Holiday music

WALES – Voices of Color and Jazz Band, Oak Hill High School’s two select music ensembles, will perform holiday musical selections and some of the groups’ favorite music at the Wales Presbyterian Church, Route 132, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

Everyone is welcome. There is no admission, but free-will offerings will be accepted. For more information, contact Marilyn at 375-6604.

Parent Forum

LEWISTON – A new monthly parent discussion group, the Parent Forum, is scheduled to be held from 6 to 7 p.m. starting Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Advocates For Children. The group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month and the topics will vary.

The first session will focus on “Managing Stress and Young Children.” Discussion will be on strategies parents can use when faced with stressful situations while parenting young children. The group is geared toward parents with children ages 1 to 5. Child care will be provided.
