BETHEL – The Bethel Historical Society’s Dr. Moses Mason House Museum will be decorated as it might have been in the early 19th century for the holiday season with boughs, berries and fruit.

On Thursday, Dec. 7, beginning shortly after 6 p.m. hot mulled cider will be served from the hearth of the winter kitchen, and in the dining room holiday treats will be offered to all visitors. In the parlor there will be music of the season, taking visitors back to an earlier era of Christmas celebrations.

This event will be followed 7:30 p.m. by a special gathering in the meeting room of the Dr. Moses Mason House where former society trustee William Andrews will discuss and sign copies of his recent book, “Stealing History.” Everyone is welcome.
