Boosters fair

LISBON FALLS – A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Marion T. Morse Community Building, School Street, sponsored by the Lisbon High School Boosters Club.

Grange meeting

TURNER – Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Turner Grange for a 6:30 p.m. supper. During the business meeting, which will begin at 7:30, a Christmas program will be presented. Members are reminded that they are to invite Pomona members who do not regularly attend. There will be an attendance drawing and a 50/50 raffle. All members and guests are welcome.

Aid for college

LISBON FALLS – Lisbon High School will host a financial aid night for parents of seniors at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the high school library.

The session will cover the basics of searching and applying for financial aid, as well as addressing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid application and creating the personal identification number.

Screenings set

LISBON – Life Line Screening will be at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, 2365 Turner Road, on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Appointments will begin at 10 a.m.

Screenings involve the use of ultrasound technology and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, which can lead to a stroke; aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which are a predictor of heart disease. Also offered is a bone density screening to assess risk for osteoporosis.

Each screening requires 10 minutes or less to complete. A complete vascular screening package is $109; the package and the osteoporosis screening is $129. Bridge results

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 28 were: first, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer, first in B; second, Luke Merry and Charles Bartlett, second in B; tie third/fourth, Mary Leahey and Rosemarie Goodwin with Martine Begert and Lorry Letourneau; first in C, Donna Bartlett and Sue Kaluzynski.

Winners at Schooner Estates in Auburn on Nov. 29 were: first, Les Buzzell and John Hackett; second, Patricia Garcia and Katie Love; third, Patricia and Mike Quinn, first in B; fourth, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; fifth, Nancy Lindgren and David Lock, second in B; third in B, Claire Lyons and Mary Leahey; first in C, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.
