A graphic in Wednesday’s Business section on B8 incorrectly reported the average number of months before workers in their mid-20s leave their jobs. The number should have been 16. In addition, a total of 83,000 people quit their jobs every day in the United States. The statement that the average age of a worker in Maine will be 62 in 2017 is incorrect. Census figures predict that about 20 percent of Maine’s total population of 1.4 million in 2017 will be 65 or older. There is no prediction of the average age of a worker.
