Kiwanis Club installs new officers for year

LEWISTON – Patti Gagne of Lewiston was installed as president of the Kiwanis Club of Auburn/Lewiston during a recent meeting at the Ramada Inn. Also installed were: president-elect, John Cronin; treasurer, Larry Lauze; and secretary, Craig Phillips.

In addition, the following members will serve on the club’s board of directors: Andrew Choate, Doug Dwinal, Dan Goff and Roy Ulrickson. The immediate past president is Jeff Haggerty, who will continue to serve on the board next year.

Gagne will serve as club president on the worldwide Kiwanis leadership team With newly elected Kiwanis International President Nelson Tucker of Chatsworth, Calif., the major service focus, a program called “Young Children: Priority One,” will continue during 2006-2007.

Club service activities have included such projects as the library/museum pass program, Advocates For Children holiday fair, eyeglass program and area high school scholarships. The club also supports the Key Clubs at Lewiston and St. Dominic Regional high schools.
