If Ozzy Osbourne’s teen daughter Kelly could launch a pop recording career with MTV’s “The Osbournes,” can Hulk Hogan’s teen daughter Brooke do the same with VH1’s “Hogan Knows Best”?

Brooke Hogan, 18, released her debut disc “Undiscovered” this fall on SoBe Entertainment, the new label of A-list producer Scott Storch (Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent). Her single “About Us,” featuring rapper Paul Wall, has made a splash and the Hulkster himself stands nearby as bodyguard when she signs autographs.

The Tampa, Fla., native talked about Brookemania (her word) and her career in a recent phone interview.

On meeting Scott Storch:

“I was actually performing down in Miami. It was the same night as Scott Storch’s birthday. And he walked in the club and saw me onstage. He came up to my dad, “Hey, that’s your daughter? Let’s get her in the studio.’ Usually people go in for a day or two but he kept me in for 10 days and then it turned into months and months and months.”

On her duet with Paul Wall:

“I was in the Hit Factory in Miami, which is a recording studio. There are separate little studios all in one compound. Paul was in one and I was in another. He heard Hulk Hogan was in the room so he came over to say hi to my dad. Paul Wall heard my song and said, “Hulk, that’s your daughter? I didn’t know she could sing.’ He liked the song so much that he just started writing his rap, and he laid it down and that’s how the song came about. It wasn’t even planned to have a rap on it.”

On gym time vs. music-making time:

“Before all of this stuff started breaking, I had to drive up to Orlando from Tampa because I was signed with Lou Pearlman (the svengali behind “N Sync and Backstreet Boys). And he gave me like a little boot camp: An hour or so of vocal lessons, six hours of dancing and then I’d have four hours of band rehearsal. The whole day was tied up in music. He prepared me for the world I’m in today. If I didn’t have him, I wouldn’t have been able to make it this far … I put together an album with him but it never got released.”

On her reality show:

“The TV series has been a great launching pad. It’s really been a blessing. Again, another thing I couldn’t have gotten this far without.”

On getting people to take her seriously as a singer: “I’m in the process of proving myself. I haven’t really figured out everything yet. I just know if you go with your heart and try as hard as you can and you sing your heart out, you can’t go wrong.”

On watching “The Osbournes” with her parents:

“Every night we watched that show and we just died laughing. Our family is not like that, but it’s funny to see a family who is. I think my parents just have a tighter lock on us kids.”

On her overprotective dad and her provocative photos in FHM magazine:

“He was not there when we did the photo shoot. But he loves the pictures. He was a little worried when we were taking them because he knows what FHM is, and he was afraid that it would be too scandalous. I wasn’t posing on a bed; I wasn’t in lingerie. It was just very classy photos in bathing suits.”
