LEWISTON – Claude and Brenda Fontaine of Lewiston celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Tacoma Lake over the Labor Day weekend.

Mr. Fontaine and the former Brenda Robert were married on Sept. 4, 1971, at Holy Cross Church. Their three daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Tim Field, Angela and Clayton Larochelle, and Crystal and Bill Bergeron, hosted the celebration.

More than 80 guests enjoyed a cold and hot buffet and a three-tier anniversary cake. The buffet was followed by music and dancing. More than $1,200 was raised for Muscular Dystrophy by requesting each guest bring a donation for the MDA instead of gifts.

Original wedding attendants present were Diane Beagle, Dot Fernald, Norman Robert and Marcel Robert.

The Fontaines are the owners of their own real estate business “The Fontaine Family Team,” affiliated with ERA Worden Realty in Auburn. They are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
