BINGHAM – Senior forward David Jensen notched a game-high 19 points to lift Rangeley to a 46-35 win over Valley in EWC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Lakers (1-2) took a 21-18 lead into the break. Junior Benjamin Bliss chipped in with 11 points on five field goals, including a 3-pointer.

Trevor Miller paced the Cavaliers (2-1) with 13 points.

Mountain Valley 79, Jay 18

JAY – Junior forward Owen Jones netted a game-high 19 points to lead Mountain Valley to a 79-18 crushing blow over Jay in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday.

Senior forward Andy Shorey provided the Falcons (2-0) another 15 points with six rebounds and five assists. D.J. Gerrish added 12 points, while Matt Lyons chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Tigers (1-2) struggled to record more than three points until the final frame when they managed a nine-count. Senior shooting guard Zane Armandi led the Tigers with four points, and Austin Clarke recorded nine rebounds in the loss.

Medomak Valley 81, Oak Hill 44

WALDOBORO – Senior forward Zach Durkee and senior center Justin Ames combined for 32 points as Medomak Valley rolled to an 81-44 victory over Oak Hill in KVAC boys’ basketball action Friday.

Sophomore guard Alex Goldrup contributed 12 points for the Panthers (1-1). Additionally, Durkee was perfect from the foul line (8-of-8) in the win.

Junior forward Nick Brown tossed a team-leading 14 points for the Raiders (0-3), while junior forward Bronson Drewry collected 11 points and seven rebounds.
