My Sister’s Keeper is a beautiful collection of thoughts and feelings, Instead of having one main character and one main stream of thought, you find yourself lost in your own thought process, with all your opinions changing like a chameleon.

Sometimes, you are Jesse, the boy who is struggling to be noticed. He decides to destroy when he cannot fix. He is mad, at what? Find out what when you read. he is resorted to something else, worse, or better?

Other times you are Anna, the daughter who is demanding medical emancipation from her parents. She feels violated and under too much pressure, we think. She seems so resistant to donating an organ to her sister whom she loves.

Anna’s mother is a totally different story. Sara’s surprise is only an understatement to what she feels. She just cannot figure out why Anna wants what she does. She thinks that she is being the best parent, not really. What is she doing wrong?

There is also Brian, Anna and Jesse’s father. he thinks that he understands Anna, but cannot part from his side of dearly loved wife. Is this wrong, or right?

You are Campbell Alexander, “the man with the backwards name” as Anna says. He is the lawyer that she has hired to defend her case. he works hard with this, struggling with the fact that Anna just can not make up her mind! Why? He also has some personal issues to deal with, reactively close to home, and work. Will he be her fate or future.

Upon entering Julia’s world, I was not sure what to make of it! She has such a dual personality, charming and sweet, in love. hard working and loyal, struggling with the flame burning inside here. She is the Guardian Ad Litem for Anna’s case.

Finally you are Kate. The victim of Leukemia. She is the one who is living life with Anna’s bone marrow, Anna’s blood. She is the one who Anna was born for. She has many struggles also, some not as vain as you would think. Sara pampers her. Especially as this Emancipation takes it’s toll, in more than one way.

Who told Anna to do this? Did she decided herself? She is so undecided about this, I can’t tell! And what of Jesse, the forgotten. I hate to admit it, but even I forget about him sometimes as I read. Will Kate live? Will Sara Change? Does Brian understand? What will Anna choose? So much pressure, so little time. Read this book by Jodi Picoult and join me among the many readers who have been wowed by this book. You won’t regret it.
