The soccer season at Elm St. School recently ended. Although the girls didn’t win a single game (not co-ed) they had a productive season. At the start of the season we wouldn’t even be able to get near the goal! Towards the end of the season we were always down towards the goal and eventually we got our first goal. It was scored by Tanisha Elston who is in seventh grade.
The girls’ coach was Sarah Rose, the junior high health teacher. She is a very good coach and made everyone have confidence in themselves.
The boys on the other hand won about six games out of 12. Collin Dudle, who was the team captain, Derick Fogg, Jacob Littlefield, Chris Johnson, Zach Rawles, and Michael Jursa scored the goals. The co-ed teams won one out of two games.
The boys’ coach Darren Littlefteld, is the wellness teacher at the Poland Regional High School. Shane Waters said, “He was tough, but an awesome coach.”
In all the soccer teams had a great year. Sarah Goss says, “We didn’t have the best record, but we had a ton of fun!”
