AUBURN – Arthur J. Roy, adjutant of the Capt. Frank W. Hulett VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave., has received a national appointment from Commander-in-Chief Gary Kurpius of Alaska as a member of the National Veterans Care Committee.

Roy has also received an invitation to attend the National Community Service Conference/Legislative Conference to be held at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C, March 4 to 7.

Roy is also serving as District 9 VFW quartermaster and serves the Department of Maine VFW as public relations officer, state membership co-chairman and Veterans Memorial Cemetery chairman. Roy lives on Russell Street in Lewiston.
